the 2022

Beautillion

The mission of this program is to educate, motivate and activate the potential for excellence in every
African American male we touch and this cannot be accomplished in isolation.

THE PROBLEM

For every 1 African American male enrolled in college, 6 will be added to the prison and jail population. 85% of African American children in special education classes are male. 40% of the African American males in the U.S. are functionally illiterate. 1.5 million African American males are in prison.

• 1 in 3 African American males will drop out of high school
• 1 in 9 African American males will use cocaine
• 1 in 12 African American males will have a STD
• 1 in 20 African American males will be incarcerated

THE SOLUTION

We believe by investing in the lives of our young African American males that we can make a difference in our communities and prepare a generation for a better and brighter future.

We believe in order for any program to work there must be commitment and consistency. We are committed to meeting with the Academy participants every Saturday and we consistently provide sessions focused on literacy, math, spiritual growth, leadership skills, ACT prep, and German to name a few. We are interested in developing the whole child therefore, their academic, behavioral, social and emotional development is top priority. Our efforts are supported by the family, school teachers, counselors, pastors, community businesses and surrounding colleges/universities.
