Scholar Jordan Menhert

Congratulations to BMW Scholar Jordan Mehnert , Jordan made BMWA History by being the first young man in our program to be admitted to the Gatton Academy at Western Kentucky University.  This math and science program is ranked as one of the best high schools in the United States.  Jordan is presently a student at the Carter G. Woodson Academy in Lexington, KY.   Jordan will complete his last two years of high school at the Gatton Academy as well as take college courses.  He will graduate in two years with a high school diploma and a 2 year college degree.   We are so proud of you Jordan.   You are a “Candidate for Greatness”

COMING SOON BBAMM BLACK BOYS AND MEN IN MEDICINE!!  THE BMW ACADEMY NOW HAS A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY IN AN ALL OUT EFFORT TO GET YOUNG BLACK BOYS TO BECOME DOCTORS THAT WILL ADDRESS A NATIONWIDE SHORTAGE OF BLACK DOCTORS.  BMW IS SO EXCITED TO BE A PARTNER IS PRODUCING THE NEXT GENERATION OF DOCTORS.   CHECK OUT KARVER THE CARDIOLOGIST! 

Scholar Dalen Cozart:

Congratulations for being the First BMWA to receive the 1890’s Land Grant Scholarship:  A full scholarship to any Historically Black College or University in the United States.  Dalen will be attending Tennessee State University!

Scholar Jathan Briscoe was accepted as a Governor School for the Arts candidate for Musical Theatre. 

Scholar Joshua Hocker was accepted as a Governor School for the Arts candidate for Architecture and Design.

Scholar Tomias Rushin was selected for the Leadership Lexington Youth Program.
