Jump Back Into BMWA:

Save the Date for BMWA 2024!

We are excited to announce the return of our signature event: The Black Male Working Academy 2024 Jump Back Into BMWA!

This mandatory event for all BMWA scholars and parents will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10am. We have an inspiring guest speaker, Tony Thompson, his high energy and contagious passion captivates audiences across the nation, and they are enlightened and empowered by the knowledge and the tools that he provides to improve themselves and the communities around them.

Join us as we jump into the second half of the academic year. All BMWA scholars and parents plan to attend this required session for a time of motivation and to reconnect and refocus for the spring semester. We look forward to seeing you there!

Kick Off to BMWA:

We are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Black Male Working Academy 2023-2024 Kick-Off Event! We cordially invite all families to join us on August 26, 2023, starting at 10 am. This year’s kick-off will be in conjunction with the Emmanuel “Manny” Caulk Jr Education, Excellence & Equity Lecture Series, and we are honored to have the esteemed Dr. Richard Warren as our keynote speaker.

In collaboration with One Lexington and Community Action, we will be distributing free books and exclusive items to our BMWA young men, while supplies last.

We will see you on August 26th at 10am and you will have the opportunity to meet and greet your BMWA Site Coordinators for the year. Attendance is mandatory for all BMWA scholars and parents, so don’t miss out on this fantastic event!

We are are looking forward to getting to announce our favorite event of the year: THE BLACK MALE WORKING ACADEMY 2022- 2023 JUMP BACK INTO BMWA EVENT!

This event will be January 7, 2023 at 10am and is MANDATORY for ALL BMWA scholars and their parents! We have a dynamic guest speaker, Chris Singleton, coming to share his story on resilience, forgiveness and unity following the loss of his mother in the 2015 Mother Emanuel Church Tragedy in Charleston, SC.

Join us January 7 to jump back into the second half of the Academic school year and ALL BMWA SCHOLARS AND PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND.
